The quality of these guitar bodies are so good, I ordered a second one the same day I received this one. Great workmanship. Thank you
I just finished measuring everything with my calipers and weighed the body on a digital scale. The Neck Pocket width advertised as 2-3/16" is in fact 2-3/16" spot on. The Neck Pocket depth measured at 5/8". The body thickness measured 1-3/4" as advertised. The weight is advertised as approximately 5.5Lbs. This body weighs 4lbs -14.45oz - coming in 9.45oz less than 5.5lbs. Historically, Sonic Blue is anywhere from a pale mostly whitish blue to a slightly more saturated blue nearer to Daphne Blue. This Sonic Blue is fairly saturated, but does have the greenish cast that differentiates it from Daphne Blue. The (Poly) paintwork is consistent, no thin spots. There are a few specks of buried dust particles but they will all be kept well beneath the pickguard. This suggests a reasonable level of quality control. The body has a nice high gloss. I am very satisfied with this body, the color might have been way off, but it's pleasantly accurate. The measurements are as advertised, and the weight is less than advertised. My Allparts neck is near to 1/16" too wide for the pocket so some tailoring will be needed, no surprise here. This will be my first build and from what I've read this is a typical issue. I've ordered a traditional "Mint Green" pickguard and it all looks pretty nice. For the price paid, I'm very satisfied and would not hesitate to purchase another in future.
Bought on Black Friday, so I saved some money! Arrived in great shape, packaged well! Sonic blue finish very nice and shiny. Everything seems to be drilled/routed ok.
I’d give it 5 stars if I didn’t have to enlarge the string ferrule holes (too small). Also minor sanding of neck pocket (to be expected) caused a couple paint chip outs near the pocket. Pick guard will fortunately cover them.
Based on this experience, I would purchase another body in the future!
